Tamara Secures “A-” Investment-Grade Credit Rating, Strengthening Access to Saudi Capital Markets

Tamara’s first independent credit rating from Tassnief with a Stable Outlook shows high creditworthiness and disciplined growth, while unlocking new long-term funding opportunities.

Tamara today announced that it has been assigned an “A-” long-term credit rating with a “Stable” outlook from Simah Rating Agency (Tassnief). Marking the company’s first official credit rating, this milestone is a key step in Tamara’s strategy to tap into local capital markets and diversify its funding sources.

The investment-grade rating reflects Tamara’s high creditworthiness and low credit risk, providing independent validation of the company’s strong financial position and long-term resilience. It also provides the company with greater financial flexibility to support long-term growth and expand its offerings.

In its assessment, Tassnief recognised Tamara’s strong asset quality, improving profitability and robust risk management framework.

“This rating is an independent endorsement of the strength of our business model, the quality of our portfolio and the discipline of our risk management as we continue to scale responsibly,” said Mohammad Alahmadi, Chief Financial Officer of Tamara. “It reinforces the confidence of our funding partners and investors, and supports our ambition to broaden access to fair, transparent and Sharia-compliant financing in the Kingdom.”

The rating marks another important milestone in Tamara’s growth journey and reflects its responsible approach to lending and long-term financial management. It also highlights Tamara’s commitment to contributing lasting value to support the Kingdom’s evolving digital economy in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
